ICELAND - A COSMIC PLACE
Editorial Design and Art Direction
ICELAND A COSMIC PLACE - is a photography project turned into a beautiful coffee table book; it documents the work of Guillermo Gutiérrez and his Iceland multi-sensory photographic exhibition.
We worked together, hand in hand with the incredible Mexican photographer, to turn his images into a printed project; the book is a multi-sensory experience where the reader can see, read, hear and feel what that country has to communicate; safeguarding the most hidden, beautiful and specific details about Iceland through thirty documentary photographs. Six International musicians were inspired by the photographer's work to create six musical pieces orchestrated exclusively for the project, which enrich the reader's experience while browsing the book. We were in charge of the art direction; in collaboration with Guillermo, we carefully selected typographic and chromatic settings to create a particular theme for each image. Our goal was to highlight the beauty of the landscapes and project these experiences, creating a unique editorial design.
3A Design Studio was in charge of the editorial design and creativity, layout, and printing files delivery.
